What Is ASMR?

ASMR stands for: - Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. ASMR is a relaxing, tingling, warm and fuzzy physical sensation which is triggered by a stimulus. This can be triggered by certain noises or whispers of other people. ASMR can also be triggered by watching someone do a certain chore or packing away things. There are various ways ASMR can be triggered and varies for each individual. Some people find it relaxing to watch somebody eat. For others it may be watching someone brush their hair.

ASMR can be reffered to as an "orgasm for your brain and body." It is a stimulating experience. There are two types of ASMR triggers: - "Type A" and "Type B" Basically Type A episodes are achieved by specific thought patterns by the individual and Type B triggers are involuntarily by one or more senses. It may involve thought patterns. Both type of triggers vary between individuals but both are common types. Most people do not even know they have "ASMR" or are unaware of what it is.

Alot of individuals have most probably experienced an ASMR event and felt a tingling or relaxing sensation through a certain sound or task but are unaware of what they were experiencing! Now in recent years ASMR has become more popular and people are starting to become more aware of what it is and how these mental orgasmic almost euphoric like sensations work thanks to the world wide web.
